• Biography Today Annual Cumulations, 1992-2000 (REF 920 BIO) Each volume has a cumulative index. Use the general index to find the correct volume. Also has a "Places of Birth Index" and a "Birthday Index."
  
• North American Biographies (REF 973.092 GRO) Ten volumes of biographies arranged by subject such as writers, activists, athletes, scholars and educators, performing artists, entrepreneurs and inventors, scientists, etc. Volume ten has a general index. Many biographies have photos.
  
• Literary Lifelines (REF 808 LIT) Ten volumes listed alphabetically and dedicated to authors only. Each entry has a short biography, list of works, list of contemporaries, and a timeline of world events during the author's lifetime.
  
• Lives and Works: Young Adult Authors (REF 810.8 LIV) Eight volumes of young adult authors listed alphabetically. Each entry has a photo, a two-three page biographical sketch, a commentary on the author's works, a list of selected works by the author, and a list of selected works about the author.
  

• The American Scene (REF 973 AME) Nine volumes with world events listed chronologically
  
• The Timetables of History( REF 902 GRU) A one-volume timetable of history divided into five sections: history and politics, literature and theater, religion and philosophy, visual arts, music, science, and daily life.
  
• Chronicle of the World (REF 902.02 CHR) A one-volume chronological listing of world events with short articles on some events.
  
• World History Encyclopedia Millennium Edition (REF 909 GAN) A chronological timeline of history. Index contains brief timelines and chronological lists of world leaders.
  
• Timelines of World History (REF 909 TIM) Another chronological timeline of world history.
  
• A Timechart History of the World (REF 909 TIM) A visual timeline of history. Index lists significant events of the twentieth century.
  
• The Century (REF 909.82 JEN) Use for articles and photos from this century. Use your index. Not good for concise timelines.
  
• Chronicle of the Twentieth Century (REF 909.82 CHR) Excellent timeline of the twentieth century through 1995. Very thorough index.
