Guy's Night Out
(AKA "Take Me out to the Ball Game")

In a "thank you" to the men of our church, an anonymous donor made possible a trip to a baseball game in Jacksonville to see the Suns play the Carolina Mudcats.  Eighteen men ranging in age from 12-90 made the trip and had a great time.  Before the men left, some of the women of the church prepared supper - - typical baseball fare - - hot dogs, slaw, potato salad, chips, and sodas.  All who participated are ready to go again.  The Suns even cooperated, scoring late in the game to win!

[Thank you, Holly Sculthorpe, for the great idea, and thank you to our in-the-background donor.]

Plates are almost emptied.

Dick Davis and Tom Olsen.

Getting a bite to eat before joining the caravan down to the game.

Sr. Warden Len Scullion (at head of table), discussing the coming game.

Tom, George Gray, Marlin Schubert, Scott Watson (in baseball shirt), and Ralph Pierce.

Rick Williams, Matthew Perry, Matthew Williams, and Rick's brother in law.

"Hold on a minute. What do you MEAN, I can't go?"

Three father-son duos, one brother-in-law duo, and one three-generation group made the trip.

The game was too exciting for the photographer in the bleachers to remember to take pictures.  We think it was more of a "What happens at the Suns game stays at the Suns game."
