Want a fun trip for the children? What about theMuseum of Science and History (MOSH) in Jacksonville A family membership is reasonable.  The Alexander Brest Planetarium is included. Check it out.

We have access to a great zoo, too. The Jacksonville Zoological Gardens are a forty minute drive down Interstate 95 and then over to Zoo Drive. Again, family memberships are available.

Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach, Florida, is a fun trip for everyone.  Explore the old fort, have a picnic at the adjacent park,, and visit the beach all in one outing.

WECC radio sponsors a Tuesday evening Bible Study with food following for youths 13-18.  Located between St. Marys and Kingsland on Highway 40, the radio station also has ministries for 19-30 year olds and for the over 30 crowd.  Check out the website or call for more info.  We at Christ Church feed the ROCK youth once every three months.

Christian Healing Ministries is an internationally renowned center for healing prayer and training to become a prayer minister.  Founded by Francis and Judith MacNutt, the Center is easy to reach from St. Marys.  Over one dozen members of the Christ Church family have been trained using CHM materials.

 

Cumberland Island National Seashore is a 45-minute ferry boat ride across Cumberland Sound.  The National Park Service office is downtown on the harbor shore.  This link will provide you with more info. 

Okefenokee Swamp Park provides all kinds of opportunities for you and your family. Two separate websites will connect you either to the Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge or to the Okefenokee Swamp Park.   Depending on what entrance you use, you may be only thirty minutes away from exploring "The Land of the Trembling Earth."

Jekyll Island is about 45 minutes up the road from St. Marys.  Beach fun and Summer Waves, too! The Georgia Sea Turtle Center just broke ground in 2006 for a new facility on Jekyll. Make sure to visit while you're on the island.
