The Fernandina Senior Squadron serves in the northeast corner of Florida. Squadron meetings are held at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport at 0900 hours on first Saturday of each month.
The Civil Air Patrol is the volunteer civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force. The CAP maintains a nationwide fleet of light aircraft for use in carrying out its emergency services and education missions. Its members fly over eighty percent of the search and rescue mission hours directed by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center.
