JOHN BRITTON

John Britton lived in Kingston, Somerset County, New Hampshire and served as a private in the New Jersey Continetal Troops under Captain John Polhemus.  He was granted a pension for his service #S34669.

JOHN COWDRICK

John Cowdrick of Hunterdon County, New Jersey served as an Ensign in the County Militia on two occasions.

Jonathan Dunham of Woodbridge, New Jersey, served as a Private in the Middlesex County Militia.

CORNELIUS MESSLER

Born 9 Feb 1759 – died 28 Nov 1843

Married 15 Nov 1781 to Maria Stryker, born 1 Jan 1762 – died 25 Oct 1832

Cornelius Messler was a resident of Readington, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, during the years of the Revolution. He served as a private in the Militia of New Jersey in 1776, 1777, and 1780 He participated in the fight at Springfield and Connecticut Farms and formed one of the party which attached the forage wagons at Weston in Somerset County.

PETER STAATS, JR

Born 6 Jul 1738 – Died 14 Aug 1825
Married abt 1769 to Susanna Middleswaart Born 1745 – Died 7 May 1826

Peter Staats, Jr,. served in the New Jersey Cavalry, 3rd Troop of the Somerset Squadron as a Private.
